An enormous thank you from all at YMCA Barnsley for our grant support from The National Lottery Community Fund which will, over a 3-year period, enable 250 children and young people to access our services through provision of continuous and consistent access to youth work from the ages of 5-19, and smooth transition between youth clubs. Our clubs support our children & young people in raising aspirations, building confidence and self-esteem, contribute to emotional resilience, health, positive mental wellbeing, and enable positive decision making. Thanks to all #NationalLottery players for making such a significant difference. We look forward to seeing our young people thrive as we continue playing our part in serving the children and young people of Barnsley.

The last few years have been tough for young people, families, and communities: a global pandemic, cost of living crisis, and ongoing housing crisis have all left scars that will take time to heal.
But at YMCA, we haven’t lost hope for a brighter future. 2024 brings with it opportunity. A chance to ask, ‘what’s the best that could happen?’
With your support, we can get young people’s priorities back on the agenda.

We are incredibly grateful to have received a core costs grant from BBC Children In Need which will support us in doing all the background business which is essential to facilitate our main job of Youth & Children’s Work delivery. #CiN
