Not the best photo as half the gang are not in frame. This was a multi player game of pool, its obvious right? Couple of que's, standard pool table, 15 balls, it's obviously a bog standard game of pool innit? What you might not realise is that young people are building relationships, a common history with their peers and youth workers. They're talking, not necessarily about their next shot, they're negotiating their own rules of engagement, they're talking about fair play and how this transfers into daily life and routines. It invites friendly competition, although the stakes were very high (a Cadbury's Freddo :) ) Conversations about winning and losing and how we cope with that. A huge congratulations to the Residential Steering Group who raised over £150 at a Coffee Morning for their upcoming residential.
It is brilliant to see what young people are capable of when given opportunities to showcase themselves and do something for the community.
